Nicholas Galitzine: Chart Delineation
Please note I generated the majority of this post prior to the latest egregious attack on displaced Palestinians in Rafah on May 27. It is lighthearted in ways that do not match my present state.
With that said, I am currently amplifying a GFM for a family with a small baby seeking to leave Gaza, which can be accessed here. Please consider resharing the link on social media.
25% of ALL of my readings across the rest of May and June of 2024 will be donated to this GFM.
I am currently offering a wide array of 30, 60, and 90 minute readings on my website. You can explore current offerings here (i.e., Resilience, Courage, Activism and Hope in the Natal Chart Readings, Natal Chart Readings, Astro Peek / Look Ahead Readings, Solar Return, Saturn Return, Transit Readings, Career & Personal Fulfillment Readings, and Tarot / Oracle Card Readings).
I also have a resource for getting involved and offering support that is updated regularly - this document includes actionable suggestions to get involved in activism, though it's certainly not an exhaustive list.
Thank you for reading.
Disclaimer: The delineation below is for entertainment purposes only. When analyzing the charts of famous individuals, we rely solely on their public personas. Natal charts suggest inclinations and potential tendencies. Without direct feedback from the chart holder, any conclusions drawn from this delineation remain speculative. Thus, my analysis is based on astrological insights and publicly available information.
This chart delineation is not an endorsement of the actor. I haven't seen any of his work and am providing this reading at the request of a dear Scorpio.
TODAY we are talking about Nicholas Galitzine’s natal chart!! I know very little about Nicholas other than the fact that he is in The Idea of You - starring opposite of Anne Hathaway - and that he is very pretty. Dashing, even.
Oh, and that he feels strongly about the Shrek franchise, which same.
With that in mind, we’re just going to explore his chart and see how it maps onto the interviews and information available about this up-and-coming star!
Below is his natal chart. I am using the 12 PM / Noon Chart because we do not have his birth time.
Angular Considerations: Taurus Ascendant? Taurus - Scorpio on the Angles?!
I always like to GUESS what someone’s rising sign is based on the energy they exude, and Nicholas is VERY Venusian. Like peak pretty boy energy, as mentioned above. His angular but rounded features feel like a strong mix of Scorpio and Venus, and I think it’s plausible he’s a Taurus rising - which, according to Judith Hill are quite lovely to observe, and often “have a square, muscular, well-built frame.”
It is also plausible his MC is in the sign of Taurus, putting his four planet Scorpio stellium around the lowest part of the chart, nearish to his 6° Libra Sun. According to astrologer Judith Hill, “If you are born near setting or near midnight, you are just as likely to be a dead ringer of your opposite sign.” I am using creative liberties here, but would assert that this may also stand true for his Scorpio stellium (3 or more planets in a single sign; he has four planets).
ANYWAY, until we get a birth time this is all JUST speculation, but I feel like the Taurus-Scorpio axis is plausible on some of his angles, explaining his combination essence of ‘pretty and intense / pretty intense’ in a coherent way - and his uptick in fame across the past couple of years, especially since Jupiter, the planet of luck and abundance, was just recently in the sign of Taurus (!!!).
A BIG ‘OLE SCORPIO STELLIUM: FEATURING MERCURY, VENUS, JUPITER, PLUTO, & NORTH NODE
WHO DOESN’T LOVE THE DRAMA AND MYSTIQUE OF A SCORPIO DOMINANT PERSON?
When I write these analyses I try my best to delineate and then substantiate what I’ve delineated with something concrete - from interviews or biographies especially, if available. Because Nicholas is *~up and coming~* there isn’t much about him, and what IS available puts his Scorpio stellium on DISPLAY.
Excuse me, sir? An UNKNOWABILITY OF YOURSELF? K, Scorpio Mercury. K, Scorpio Venus. K, Scorpio Jupiter. Ok.
Scorpio loves to live in a state of unknowability for pleasure and leisure. It’s like the easiest and lowest hanging fruit imaginable for the archetype, and Nicholas just really hammers the point home. While he’s a Libra Sun, his Sun is answering to a SCORPIO VENUS - Venus rules the sign of Libra - which gives him this strong dash of moody mystery.
There is a deeply perceptive quality associated with a strong Scorpio presence in the natal chart—an uncanny intuition among these people which can manifest in a number of ways, including impeccable timing, a chameleon-like ability to adapt to any situation, and a knack for uncovering hidden truths. They can effortlessly read between the lines, sensing motives and feelings that others might miss. This intuitive prowess often gives them a magnetic charm, drawing people in with their compelling aura.
Oh, and Jupiter in Scorpio tends to be quite gifted at obscuring anything they don’t want self-disclosed - of course, not in EVERY circumstance, but I’d expect he keeps it more superficial than most celebrities over time and may even be the type to eventually settle in a different country once his career is more established (like, being based in England). Privacy is of the utmost importance to the Scorpio Jupiter generation and they’re GOOD AT MAINTAINING IT (it’s honestly impressive).
SUN IN LIBRA
Venusian luminary (Sun, Moon) people are often known for being striking; this is particularly true in Hollywood, where heartthrobs and sex symbols tend to have a natal Taurus or Libra Sun and/or Moon and/or Ascendant. Examples include: Michael Ealy (Libra Moon), Christopher Reeve (the original Superman; Libra Sun), Shemar Morris (Taurus Sun and Libra Moon), Choi Yeonjun (Libra Moon), Brendan Fraser (Taurus Moon and Rising), Rudolph Valentino (Taurus Sun, Libra Moon), Alain Delon (Libra rising), Justin Bieber (Libra Moon), Dwayne the Rock Johnson (Taurus Sun, Libra rising), and Jimin (Libra Sun). ALL OF THIS TO SAY: Nicholas is in good company and I am zero percent shocked he’s a Libra Sun.
He has what is considered a feral sun (lol) which happens when a planet has literally no other aspects with anything in the chart. So his Sun, the vehicle for directing his energy - is oddly positioned. We know that it’s in the cardinal air sign of Libra, which tends to flourish in artistic endeavors, collaborative opportunities, areas where multiple truths can be held, and spaces where balance can be sought if not perfection achieved. In this regard, it is unsurprising that his professional work is artistic in nature as an actor. His Sun is in the terms of Mercury which per Vettius Valens suggests he is “business like, craft working…in general, just and intelligent.” His Sun is also in the first decan of Libra, ruled by the Moon, which gives him a doubly fluid signature, echoed by his natal Cancer Moon conjunct Mars.
There is still a strong need for connection and relationships with his Libra Sun, and it may be a core facet of his personal life (e.g., many significant relationships, a highly publicized love affair), and in his public work (e.g., ample focus on his appearance and love stories).
It's important to note that an over-focus on beauty and appearances—while initially intriguing—can lack the deeper intellectual and social acknowledgment that Libra craves in all arenas. Libra, ruled by Venus, is known to appreciate aesthetics, but they also seek meaningful connections intellectual stimulation in their relationships and in the impact their actions have. As the cardinal air sign, they are tasked with initiating and communicating a message—whether through a creative modality, social relationships, their expression of love, or in equity-based, socially-focused endeavors (e.g., activism). Thus, Nicholas may tire of the label really, really ridiculously good-looking that has been thrust upon him sooner rather than later.
Oh, and this Libra Sun signature can FLIRT. Like, for sport. Like, Olympic-level flirt. Whenever I see a guy with a Libra Sun (or Moon…or rising), there’s a 300% chance he’s a mega-babe and also a sweet baby chaos angel. Precious and unquestionably tumultuous in ways only air signs can be (said with love, always!). Though Libra is represented by the scales, there is a constant balancing and rebalancing that encourages a shifting sense of self-expression. There’s a noncommittal nature to the Libra Sun, coupled with a desire to be gracious and respectful, which ideally makes for a sweet human being but can, at worst, create the ETERNAL HEARTBREAKER.
CANCER MOON
Nicholas has a VERY effective, strong, and supportive Moon making a close conjunction with a relatively weak Mars. In fact, he may resonate more with his Moon sign relative to his Sun sign based on how well functioning his Moon is. Moon in Cancer people are soft and mushy once you can get past their protective layers of deflection and gentle defensiveness.
Cancer Moon people are KNOWN nurturers, and often align with roles that allow them to mentor, to tend, and to caretake. Nicholas said in an interview that working as a “Manny” (a male nanny) was one of his favorite jobs prior to acting, which shows if nothing else, that there is a strong connection with that dignified, domicile Cancer MOON!
Moon conjunct Mars can take many shapes, and in more active signs may speak to a quick temper. While this may still be the case, it seems that there is more of a pull toward comfort and familiarity in order to replenish and refuel his energies (Mars = vitality, Moon = emotional comforts) and a reactivity if he doesn’t get it. A bit like being hangry but specifically for cozy downtime?
It may also manifest as a bit of an extra spark in anything that moves him emotionally. A ferociousness that simmers beneath a teddy bear surface feels plausible. There may be an unexpected tenderness to him that supports his work as an actor.
His Moon is exactly opposite Uranus and closely opposite Neptune, which amplifies the notion of like, “woah, where did THAT come from?” He has some tricks up his sleeve without a doubt with regards to his emotional presence and self-expression; I’d expect him to bring an unexpected (Uranus) and dreamy (Neptune) flavor to his emotional expression personally and professionally. This seems to be a talking point in his work, with a recent interview’s headline reading, “the actor is challenging both masculine stereotypes and his ascendant status as an internet sex symbol.”
I’ve noticed that some lunar-dominant people with more masculine signatures (i.e., a cisgender man in this case) can struggle with balancing the tenderness built in to their energy - particularly when juggling rigid social and gender norms. There are SEVERAL ways this can play out, and I won’t pretend to have a handle on how he navigates this personally. However, it seems that he uses the more gentle (see: romantic!) nature of his chart as the LEADING LAD IN LOVE STORIES.
The Moon-Neptune opposition suggests that there may also be challenges in EFFECTIVE emotional self-expression and connection - feeling like an outsider in some regard and absorbing / sublimating expected social behaviors based on the circumstances he finds himself in. Great for acting! Terrible for deep personal connection!
This sentiment echoed in one of the interviews I found about him via Backstage:
The Reported CHEMISTRY with Anne Hathaway
A couple of the interviews I found talked about the *IMMEDIATE CHEMISTRY* shared between Galitzine and Hathaway, which made me PROMPTLY draw her chart. Of course they have chemistry: His Libra Sun is conjunct her Moon, indicating that his natural outward demeanor aligns perfectly with what makes Anne feel comfortable. Same peaceful vibe, probably very focused on harmonious and gracious interpersonal interactions. Libra placements always remind me of ETIQUETTE CLASSES specifically, because intentional pleasantries tend to go far for them (even if they’re exhausting). The elegant social dance does something to Libra’s brain chemistry. Also, his Venus - the planet of LOVE AND ROMANCE AND CREATIVE EXPRESSION - is conjunct her Sun (ego / identity) and her Mercury (communication, ideas, self-expression) and HONESTLY it’s giving ~in another lifetime~ energy. Like parallel universe / when both parties are available / without a major age gap: a thing. See the quote below ~
